Womens Sports for Development Programs, Morocco

I am currently helping run a sports program for youth aged 11-18 at the Sidi Moumen Cultural Center, staffed and run by Neighborhoods Association IDMAJ. IDMAJ is an amazing organization based in Casablanca composed of youth from different neighborhoods throughout the city who actively engage in their community and are mentors to hundreds of young children. The Cultural Center is located in Sidi Moumen, a low income area on the outskirts of Casablanca, notoriously known as the home of all suicide bombers of recent Casablanca bombings. The center offers English, French, art, theater, music, computer class, journalism, chorus, a library, computer center, and of course SPORTS!

Time: Sundays, 9am-12pm
Place: Ibnou Khaldoun School, Sidi Moumen
Participants: Roughly 100 kids, between the ages of 10-18
Sports: Boys and Girls basketball and football
